I am searching for the parents of Elisha B. BARBER, b. (1836) NY, d. 1876-1880, m. (1867) Sarah __?, b. (1844) MO; they had six children. One son, John William BARBER, b. (1876) MO, d. __?, m. (1901) Ermina TIMMONS. They lived in Daviess Co. at least from 1870 to 1920. Could Garner BARBER, b. (1803) RI, on 1870 census be Elisha's father? Also, looking for parents of Charles and Josephine (PUGH-LONG) BROWN, m. (1906). Charles was a plumber and was b. (1877) MO. Josie was b. (1874) MO. Both list their parents as being born in MO-MO. They moved from St. Joseph, MO, to Gallatin, MO, between 1910 and 1920. Where are all these folks buried? I will be glad to share info.

I am looking for Isaac H NATION, who appeared in the 1880 Census with a wife named Issabell two sons, named Hugh Lorenzo. In the 1900 census his wife's name was Myria 3 sons 1 daughter, Charles was added as a son daughters name was Amanda. In the 1880 census Isaac said he was born in MO., his father was born in Kentucky his mother was born in MO. I can't seem to find any earlier records. Would appreciate any information about Isaac or his descendants, other than Charles, who is my Grandfather. Wanting to know where the Nation's came from. In 1880 he was in the North District Union Township, in the 1900 census, he was listed in the Harrison Township. Anyone with information, please E mail me. Thanks

Looking for ancestors of William E. SAGE (my great grandfather) who died in Galletin, Mo. on October 13, 1893. He had three daughters, so the name has not been carried on. Any help is appreciated.

Am seeking information regarding Samuel K. DINSMORE and Martha Blakely DINSMORE. They married in Laurel Co., KY and moved to Daviess Co. abt 1842. I would like obituaries or death records for them both. Samuel died abt Oct. 1880. They lived near Gallatin at this time. Surname search: Jefferson KELLEY born 5-12-1819 in Illinois married to Permelia Ann STONE born 9-24-1821 in Virginia or Kentucky. married 11-8-1841 in Missouri. They had nine children. Two daughters married Peter VANROYEN. Are there any marriage records in Daviess County for these daughters. Lucinda Emma born in Chillicothe, Daviess Co. Mo 2-8-1853. Catherine born 1-7-1844 probably in Missouri, but don't have location. Also searching for parents of Permelia Ann STONE. Parents of Jefferson KELLEY was Henry KELLEY from North Carolina or Virginia and Jane Catherine HUNT from Greenville, SC. Any additions to this information will be appreciated.

I am seeking any information on Simon CLARK b1826 in Bedford Co., PA and died in MO. He was a farmer in MO and appeared on an 1870 type assessment census of the county. My copy is very hard to read, so I cant really give much more information on what this census says. He had at least three children, Elizabeth b abt. 1849 in PA and two other sons. One son was born in Pennsylvania, the other in Iowa. Simon was the first son of John CLARK and Barbara MARKLE of PA. Any information on this CLARK family would be appreciated. [Page 11 Schedule 1. - Inhabitants in Colfax ? ?, in the County of Daviess, State of Missouri, enumerated on the 17th day of August, 1870. Post office: ?? W.L. Foster, Asst Marshal.

Levi STEWART(my direct line) was living in a place called Narrowbone, afterward Ambrosia in Daviess Co. in June of 1838. His brothers Urban Van, Riley and William Jackson lived nearby in Caldwell Co. They are the children of William Stewart and Elizabeth Van Hooser. Also looking for the AVERETT's who were living on Shoal Creek, two miles from Far West in the spring of 1837. The Averett's and Stewart's later moved to Illinois, Iowa, then across the plains to Utah. They connect with the 16 May 1878 marriage in Kanab, Utah of Alonzo Lafayette Stewart and Martha Elzade Averett, my gg grandparents, Have wonderful histories to share.
