I am looking for the parents of Margarett CAIN. She was listed in the 1850 Census of Daviess Co, MO with a John CAIN.
John CAIN 27 KY
Eliza 26 VA
Hiram 4 MO
James 1 MO
Margarett CAIN 13 KY
John CAIN appears to be an older brother or an uncle maybe. Is anyone else researching this family or know the connection? Family stories says that Margarett CAIN was a Cherokee Indian. Does anyone have any information on this? Margarett CAIN married 28 April, 1854 in DeKalb Co, MO to Jerome J. BURNS. Jerome J. Burns also was known by Jeremiah Jerome Burns, JJ Burns, Joe Burns, Jerry Burns, and Joseph Burns. They were listed together in the 1860 Census in DeKalb Co, MO. They evetually move to NE and then to KS where they are buried. Jeremiah Jerome BURNS' father was Jeremiah M BURNS listed in the 1850 and 1860 Census of Daviess Co, MO.

In 1860 Henry and Julia lived at Benton Twp., Daviess Co. and in 1870-1880 she was at Butler Twp., Harrison Co. What Methodist congregation might she have belonged to, and how can I get in touch with the records keeper? I wrote First Methodist in Bethany but they did not start until 1896.

I am seeking information on Robert D. ROWLAND and Didama MULLICAN/MULLIKIN. Both were born in Missouri, and were married in Daviess County, MO 1 May 1862. They had five children, Solomon, Mary, James, Sobisky, and Emma Alice. Didama died about 1873-79 and Robert married Sophronia GIPSON, in 1884, also in Daviess County. I believe they lived in the Coffey area. Their youngest daughter, Emma, married James David BEALS, in Feb., 1889, in Daviess County. They eventually went to Oklahoma. I believe some decendents of the Rowland and Mullican families may have ended up in Kansas. I've also been told there is some Cherokee ancestry but do not know the origin. Please contact me if you know anything about these families. Thanks!
