HARL, HARRIS, RHEA, SNEED, WILHITE posted by Patrici White on Monday, March 1, 1999

My great, great grandmother was Eliza WILHTIE HARL HARRIS. She moved from Boone County, MO to Daviess County sometime between 1860 and 1870. She was the daughter of Stephen and Sarah ROWLAND WILHITE. She married Lewis H. Harl in 1836. This union produced three sons: Stephen, John, and William. John was my great grandfather. Lewis left with a group going to the gold rush and never returned. Eliza had his estate probated in 1851. She married William Overton Harris. Some sources list him as Overton G. Harris. This union begat Sarah (Sally) and Overton. Mr. Harris died sometime before 1860. Eliza and her family moved to Daviess County between 1860 and 1870. She died January 4, 1890 and is buried in the old Jordin Cemetary,Jackson Twp. I know John Harl married Louisa Mecca SNEED. A Seborn SNEED is in this family. I need to know if anyone has any info on the old Jordin Cemetary? Also, Sarah Overton married a John Rhea. Any children of this union? No one knows their place of burial. Any help on this? I'm interested in Also, need to know ANYTHING at all about Stephen, John, William HARL. I appreciate any and all help.
