DEVARY posted by Elaine Devary Willman on Saturday, May 16, 1998

I'm trying to locate information on ancestors and relatives of Cecil Clive DEVARY, born July 18, 1895, Weatherby, MO (Daviess County). Cecil's father was Ulysses Grant Devery, and his mother was Fannie Jane Ford. I'm told that ALL Devarys are related whether the name is spelled Devary or DeVary, and that we all descend from a Joseph (Jesse) Devary, b. 1755 Canary Islands, a Spanish Soldier who came to US in 1800, settled in Winchester (Clark County) KY. Any communication about the Devarys would be very much appreciated.

GEE posted by Bob Kunau on Tuesday, May 19, 1998

My Great grandfather was born in Daviess Co. Missouri, on 1-26-1867, I think. I got this information out of family Bible. His father was W.M. GEE & mother Sarah McCarty, I got this off his death cert., but there is no reference to years, or where they were born. I was hoping I could get that information off Charley Gee's birth cert. I'm new to all of this so if anybody can help me connect the dots I would really appreciate it. Thanks for any help or advice.
