I'm seeking someone who might have a 1929 Gallatin High School yearbook. I have a high-quality photograph of the 1929 football team and am interested in finding out the players names. My father, Leonard "Vic" BROWN is one of the players in the photo. Also, do you know of any places to post such photos, etc., which might be of interest to Gallatin families? Thanks for your help.

There were several sisters as well, Mary E. born circa 1838, Martha A. born circa 1842. Thomas married Mary Brown June 12, 1856 in Daviess County, and a son Thomas Harry Blakely was born there. I need marriage records and anything else.

GIVENS posted by Margaret Kirk Bragg Holland on Saturday, January 23, 1999

My mother's family, GIVENS, came from this county. William Givens was the patriarch, a doctor and once mayor of Gallatin. My grandfather was the youngest in the family. His name was Nathaniel Shores Givens. His only son, Spencer H. Givens, never married. I believe the Givens came from Kentucky and moved to Missouri. Family tradition has it that they descended from 7 Givens brotherswho came to the U.S. in the 1700's to fight George III.
